About

Hello, nice to meet you : )

I’m Teresa, a designer driven by the belief that nature holds the key to solving humanity’s most pressing challenges.

Born in Milan, my journey began with classical and humanistic studies, which later evolved into a passion for product design at IED Milan. This foundation led me to explore the fascinating world of biomaterials, culminating in a Master in Design through New Materials at Elisava in Barcelona and a Master in Biodesign at UAL
in London.

My design philosophy is centered around biomimicry and systemic thinking, inspired by the intricate harmony of natural ecosystems. I believe that every element in nature exists for a reason, and by studying and respecting these systems, we can create innovative solutions that not only address human needs but also promote sustainability and well-being. For instance, I see waste streams not as problems, but as potential feedstocks for new biomaterials.

One of my most meaningful endeavors is co-founding The Morigin Project, a startup that harnesses the incredible properties of Moringa oleifera to develop an organizational system aimed at improving social, economic, and health conditions in rural Senegalese villages. This project embodies my vision of design as a tool for positive change, inspired by nature’s wisdom.

Through my work, I aim to honor nature as a teacher, using its principles to craft designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and sustainable. I’m always excited to explore new ways to apply biomimicry in real-world scenarios and collaborate with like-minded individuals who share my passion for sustainable innovation.
